Future Foundations for Dyslexia was established by Gemma Spavin who has previously worked as a SENDCo and primary school teacher. Future Foundations are so named because we believe that it is never too late to build on your knowledge, seek more in life and pave the way for your future.

Through her role as a SENDCo she has developed an umbrella of reputable therapists, clinicians, diagnosticians and other professionals whom she often refers on to if additional help is needed.
Gemma is qualified to Master’s level in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Dyslexia and has a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education with Additional Educational Needs.
She can’t really get enough of education and you can usually find her completing a new course or earning a new certificate to widen her knowledge on her specialist area.
Aside from Dyslexia, Gemma has trained for Dyscalculia and is a qualified Irlen® Screener.
She also has a Post Graduate Certificate National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and is always happy to be contacted by parents who are seeking advice for their children.
